Sidney's parents returned from burying his brother Percy on 26th January 1900 to find that Sidney had died of the same malady. Their joint headstone in the cemetery at Tolleshunt D'Arcy includes 'In loving memory of our two little boys. Children of F and A Legerton of Spring Farm, Tolleshunt D'Arcy'.
