#1257, Peter SMITH

One source, Royal Descent gives Rev Peter's dates as 1651-1725. There seem to be two generations of Rev Peter Smith.  It says he was rector of Winfrith in Dorset having been admitted to Oxford on charity.  His father was Richard Smith.  Peter married Dorothy Bowman (died 1733) daughter of Seymour Bowman (descended from Edward I), and took the Bowman arms.  His grandson was a member of the Worshipful Company of Ironmongers.
