Anne Fletcher's ashes are buried in Burneside Churchyard, Cumbria.
Studied singing and drama at the Webber Douglas School of Drama, London and with Professor Wellesz in Vienna; in the chorus at Covent Garden; member of Sadlers Wells Co., 1933-34; Mothers' Union.
Suffered a stroke in 1985 and died after a long illness in 1988.
