After his retirement from the army at the end of WW2, Tony Crossley was Estate Manager with Crittall Manufacturing Co. Ltd. 1948-68; dressage competitor and judge; "the doyen of equestrian journalists"; senior dressage correspondent, 'Horse and Hound', for nearly twenty years; author: 'Training the Young Horse'; 'The First Two Years' (1978), 'Advanced Dressage ' (1982); 'Dressage, an Introduction' (1984); 'Dressage, the Seat, Aids and Exercises' (1988); about 1948 to 1973, of Earls Colne, Essex, then of Braintree, Essex.
