The Gentlemans Magazine in 1823 recorded: Died, Jan. 27th at Eastbourn, near Midhurst, in the 86th year of his age, Henry Riggs, esq. the father of Mrs. Savage Cobbold, of Ipswich, and youngest son of the late Ogle Riggs, esq who in the year 1725 served the office of High Sheriff of the county of Sussex.
